For its opening season, the arts center auscultates contemporary art and is interested in the infinitely small. Speaking in the context of the International Year of Chemistry, Hidden & Elusive is an exhibition format that offers unique scaling of the infinitely small, through a collaboration between artists and researchers around the question of nanoscience .

The term "nano" is used in reference to the nanometer. A submicroscopic these dimensions, new phenomena appear (size effects, quantum effects ...) and the scientific research are now used in chemistry,

in biology, physics, medicine or in materials science. Nanoscience is therefore highly multidisciplinary in nature and should extend their experimental fields to contemporary art.

This exhibition is a double opportunity for the artist access to the scientific material otherwise inaccessible to the researcher, to think differently about science through aesthetic impulse. These works / experiences are so much opportunity to understand what nanoscience generate as territory for creative exploration and thus allows the exhibition to discuss various formal dimensions: smell, sound, fictitious, visual and cognitive.

Artists and scientists through this experience we propose to change look by changing scale. By offering this alternative view is, why not, a way to re-enchant the world.
